Joe, obviously big news on the show today and the the schedules of Major League Baseball have

aligned with the schedule of the podcast the night we're set to record.

The AL and NL MVPs are announced and Jose Abreu MVito takes home the hardware.

It's really amazing.

I mean just having had this whole season of 60 games, first and foremost, is incredible.

And then the fact that a 30-plus-year-old first baseman wins an MVP in a season where truly anything should have benefited

the young bucks of the game just having the small sample size go their way

because of an abundance of

athleticism of the league not really knowing you or something like that.

None of that's true. It's the crafty veteran who bashed six home runs against the

Northside rival.

It's all of those things.
