Hi, this is Josh Marshall and this is the Josh Marshall podcast with Kate Riga. Today is

a kind of special episode because we've actually had to delay recording this

episode of the podcast for two days. We normally record on Wednesdays and now it is Friday and the

entire reason for that and the reason that we had to twice delay recording is because of the

speaker's race, which is going to be really the only thing we're going to talk about in this episode.

And the specific mechanics of that is that our my co-host, Kate, is also one of our capital

hill reporters and we've had this kind of, I don't know what to call it, sort of out of control,

bender speakers drama, continuing through the week and basically when we need Kate to be
