All right, so there's a lot of pressure on Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel,

to get on board with a two-state solution, Len, but he says absolutely not. No way it's not going to happen.

Let's check in with Jordana Miller, the ABC News reporter in Jerusalem.

Now, Jordana, the question is, do the, do you think the majority of Israelis agree with Benjamin Netanyahu that now is not the time to even consider a two-state solution?

That's a good question. I think a lot of Israelis right now think it's too soon to talk about a Palestinian state when they feel there's still

a war that needs to be won in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Authority can't even really handle some places like Janine and Nablis

in the Northern West Bank, which are hotbeds for militancy.

So they're certainly not in any shape to take over the Gaza Strip right now, which would

have to be a precondition to Palestinian statehood.

So I think a lot of Israelis agree with Netanyahu.

The important thing to remember is that

Netanyahu does what is politically good for him, even in times of war. And so he

cannot outwardly and publicly support a Palestinian state his government would fall

and he'd be out of power. So what we may see Netanyahu do as the war progresses, if he agrees to a hostage deal

release down the road maybe in a month or more, we may see him work behind the scenes to bring

in different partners into the government, swap out the

far right, bring in someone like Yerlipid, a centrist, and then make the big deal of the

century, which is essentially a normalization deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia, that would

set up the option for a Palestinian state.

Netanyahu would stay in power, put something important on his record after the disaster

of October 7th.
