You know the more evolutionary biologist Dr Heather Hying and of course, Dr Jordan B. Peterson.

We're going to bring them in in a second before we do. I should just tell you very quickly the format of our conversation today.

It's great to have you back. Listen, let us get started straight away.

There's an issue that we've been talking about on the show a long for about for a long time.

It's something that is really become very important.

We talk about identity politics, but there's a deeper thing that's going on.

Let me summarize it very briefly as I can. The idea is at some point 50 to 60 years ago, something happened where increasingly you started to see an increase in furtherlessness, increasing breakdown of the family as people describe it.

And many people, including one of our former guests, Mary Eberstad, argue there was a sexual revolution that triggered that others have other theories.

But nonetheless, many people say the product of all of that has been the focus on identity, the breakdown of the family has resulted in many of the things that we're seeing now identity politics obsession with finding your own community that's not really about your family because you don't really feel attached to yours.

To the one that you have, etc. Heather, it's your first time on the show. It's such a pleasure. Tell us what do you make of all of that as I look at your cat flicking it's here to my long question.
