We start with news today from Dave Powell, who is the business of football writer Atta

Liverpool Echo, who's reported at Liverpool to take control of the Ampere Road construction

site following the collapse of the Buckingham Group, who were the contractor overseeing

the £18 million redevelopments of the Ampere Road stand.

The vets are now actively working on finding a replacement contractor to complete the

stand as soon as possible, and increase the capacity by 7,000 to 61,000 in total.

Elsewhere, there are plenty of rumours that El Etihad in Saudi Arabia are preparing a

new world record bid of £215 million, including add-ons for Mo Salah.

It is thought that a big motivation for the club is an eye-catcher performance in the

FIFA Club World Cup in December in Saudi Arabia, where they could play Manchester City in

the final.

However, to get there, they will first have to be Auckland FC of New Zealand, Al Ali

of Egypt and the winner of the Coppa Libertor, which could be Andre's Fluminati, who

has reached the semi-final, making Liverpool's pursuit of the midfield in August more complicated.
