Summary

Jenni is training for the London Marathon - her first Marathon since 2019. Having sadly faced a few injuries she’s determined to have a proper training plan.

To help her she’s enlisted Jordan Foster who is the Head Coach and Partnership Manager at ‘Coopah’.

Jordan is the coach who has devised the programme Jenni is sticking to. So we are delighted that over the next four weeks, you will see Jordan popping up in 4 bonus episodes that aim to help you with your training for whatever run you’re going on.

Happy Running!

This is not a sponsored episode. Coopah is a popular running coach app, and we should mention other running apps are available.

Hello there and welcome to a very special bonus series of Rompot.

Now, I'm Jenny Falkner and I'm currently training for

0:23.2

the London Marathon and having sadly faced a few injuries over the last few years, this is my first

0:28.8

marathon since 2019 and by the way I'm determined to cross that finish line. I want to have trained

0:34.5

well and to feel strong and good, really good on race day. So in order to do that, I've approached my training very sensibly and I've got a proper training plan. Not only that, I'm doing a couple of strength training sessions each week and I'm not allowing myself to over-trained. So I'm saying the maximum I can run is four times a week. There are other apps out there as well.

and it's going to hopefully inspire you to reach your goals this year too. So please welcome to Rumpot,

1:23.9

Because also I can get annoyed with you from making me really out of breath yesterday.

1:28.4

Yesterday my training session was the Kuala Lumpur.

1:31.1

I had to do 10 minute warm up, four minute fast, then two minute was kind of like a slow jog walk, and then four minute fast.

1:39.0

I mean, I had to do that cycle like five times.

1:41.3

Yeah.

1:41.7

That's quite a tough one.

1:42.6

But did you feel good afterwards?

1:43.8

I felt really

1:44.5

good afterwards. I felt really smug that I'd done it to be honest. But the thing is I did it on the

1:48.2

treadmill because it was horrific weather outside. And also sprinting like that for four minutes,
