I'm Julia Cowley, retired FBI agent and profiler.

And joining me today is Bob Drew.

I'm also a retired FBI agent and profiler.

And one of the best profilers to ever come out of the FBI's behavioral analysis unit.

That's just my opinion for what it's worth.

So today, we are going to be discussing the most famous ransom note in the history of the world, the John Bonnet Ramsey

ransom note. I'm not quite sure where this discussion is going to lead. I think I know what I

think, at least my impressions of the note, at least for now. And I'm really interested to hear Bob's point of view.

I have been fascinated like many people with this case from when it first happened.

And then I believe it was about 2008.

And it was before I was in the behavioral analysis unit, but I took a forensic linguistics class with profilers who were in the unit at the time.

And one of our exercises was conducted by an FBI agent, FBI profiler who had been involved to some extent in this investigation and looking at this case.

And we did an exercise in class where we went over this note. And it was fascinating for me.

I really enjoyed the exercise. What I will say is that the class could not come to a consensus.

And I think that's just a reminder that this is not an exact science.

Whatever Bob's view is, whatever my view is, there's going to be people that disagree with us.

We disagree amongst ourselves, the experts that have worked on this case, disagree.

So I just want to set expectations regarding that.

We're not going to answer all the questions today about this case.
