I'm John Batsu with my colleague Jonathan Shanzer, the executive director of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, North to Lebanon.

And the mystery of Hezbollah after the decap, after the pounding of the arsenal, there are still tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of people

who consider themselves loyal to Hezbollah, not to the state of Lebanon, and certainly not to peace in the region.

There are anecdotes only, but there are plenty of them, Iran moving to rearm and reinvigorate and certainly reboot Hezbollah

for another day. Are those accurate, Jonathan, or am I being presumptive? No, look, you have certainly

a Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon that would like to rebuild. And you have a leadership in the Islamic Republic of Iran that would like to rebuild

Hisbalah, too.

This was at one point their crown jewel.

This was considered to be a terrorist organization that was more powerful than most European

militaries, for that matter.

You know, 150 to 180,000 missiles and rockets and

trained fighters that were going to be able to go toe to toe to with the Israelis.

That has all been effectively wiped out.

That was from the fall of this past year.

The Israelis lighting up those beepers and pagers and

walkie-talkies and taking out the top leaders. All of this was done in such a way that it really

left his Bala with very little. And today we talk about 80% of that arsenal destroyed. We talk about

a leadership unwilling to fight, and they continue

to try to resurrect some of their capabilities to manufacture weapons. The Israelis have

excellent intelligence. They continue to bomb. They're doing so with permission from the Lebanese armed

forces. They're doing so with permission from the United States.

This is all being done in a very coordinated way.
