I'm joined now by Jonathan Rumi, who is the very well-known actor who portrays Jesus on The Chosen.

He's also one of the main voices on the Hallow app that offers so many different ways to pray. And I'm really excited to have you here,

Jonathan. I'm a big fan. It seems like a strange thing to say, but I just think that your work is so

important. And you've got a lot of people talking about Jesus in a way that I think that they

haven't for a long time. So, you know, I thought it was interesting. Dallas Jenkins, who I've

interviewed on this

show as well, he said that when he cast you, and you knew each other a bit beforehand,

when he cast you in this role, that he saw you as capturing, quote, the tenderness and the

masculinity of Christ. I think that's a very good way to put it, and I think you do that really well.

Where do you see those two things in balance in this role that you play?

I mean, I think both of those qualities can be interchangeable for the two sides of Christ's person, which is the divinity and the humanity.

100% human, 100% divine.

And both of those natures, I think, in the best sense of those descriptions, tender and masculine,

I think they come together in the person of Jesus.

And I think you need both to portray the son of man, you know, the Savior.
