of Politico and myself will just basically do what we used to do in our newsroom

at Hotline go through the various scenarios of the next six to nine months.

But before we get there, let me share a few thoughts.

I am, I believe we are in the stages, you know the stages of grief, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and then accept it.

Well, where are you in the stages of grief

when it comes to Biden versus Trump?

Do you accept it?

Are you depressed about this?

Are you angry?

Are you still denying the idea that it's going to be the two of them?

Are you just convinced it won't be?

You're just in denial? Are you trying to bargain? Are you a donor? Are you trying to buy a different a different way a different outcome? I'm using the stages of grief to try to describe where we are. I still believe we are in the bargaining stage. Everybody's in the bargaining stage, if you will.

The Democrats, I think, are the ones closest to acceptance. I think if you look at the result in the Democratic primary, that was an

impressive show of force by Biden. In a state that in theory a whole bunch of angry

New Hampshire Democrats decided to write Joe Biden's name in, not punish him,

for taking away their first in the nation status. That's the power of Donald Trump.

What could have easily been embarrassing, literally the script got flipped there.

I think Dean Phillips was very underwhelming.

Frankly, I don't think he really found a message until the last week or two of his campaign.

His rollout week was terrible.
