This is Dave Boucher with Entrepreneurs the Playbook and I am here at the win hotel in

the incredible Blue Wires Studios and the lobby of the win in Las Vegas here at CES.

And this is back to the future for me and I think accordingly if you know the company

Napster, I think by definition it's back to the future.

They are the number one streaming music company, longest streaming as well in the world

and the CEO John Blissopoulos is here to join us to talk about the evolution of a business

and really excited to have you welcome to the Playbook, John.

It's good to be here in Sonny Las Vegas in the win and it's nice to have you.

We're old enough to know that business is an evolution, not a revolution.

And sometimes when you come up with revolutionary ideas in a business they come to revolutionary

stops and it's very rare for a company that is too early or too smart about what they

do to continue to evolve but yet the longevity of Napster just astounds me and I've been

involved with the company extremely early on and some of the executives at the company

and well beyond if people could imagine the means in which music has changed.

And I know like for example in the Facebook movie I love the scene when they're making

fun of John Parker and he's like yeah but you want to buy a tower records, who wants

to buy a tower records, it changed the world and now you're changing the world again

knowing what you know now and learning the lessons from the past.

What was some of the lessons that you've learned through your career that allowed number

one, the longevity, but two, to put yourself in such a great position for Web 3.
