Hello and welcome to the Sunday with New Paterson podcast. With the budget fast approaching,

I sat down with the shadow health secretary John Ashworth to ask what Labour wants to hear from

the Chancellor. I was also joined by influential Tory backbencher Stephen Hammond

and spoke to the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Labour's Andy Burnham.

Next week it is of course the budget when the Chancellor Philip Hammond will lay out his plans for the year ahead.

The person in charge of Britain's finances is constantly fighting off demands from any sites,

but the pressure on spreadsheet fill is particularly intense right now.

Can he address burning political issues like housing and healthcare? Will he

ease the burden of austerity? What will he promise in terms of a war chest for Brexit? And of course
