Summary

Jojo Pickering grew up with sailing as a central part of her life, vagabonding on the high seas with her family and sailing from Africa to the UK. As she got older, she spent more time ashore, starting a traveling theatre company with her husband and kids and bouncing around the UK, France and Spain. But the sea called her back — she recently completed an Atlantic circle with her family on a gaff-rigged sloop and now sails professionally as a skipper on classic yachts and with 59º North. Andy spoke to her onboard FALKEN in the Cape Verde islands.

So Axel's going to be with your parents then. Then it's like, what do we do? Do we go to the boat? Do we, whatever? We're having the boat in Up at Varv, which is the boat show at Hallberg-Rassy on August 23, 24, 25. Falcon's going to be there. You and Axel are also going to be there. Axel, at least for part of it. He might only last an hour a day. Yeah. And so like this is like, this is our summer.
1:27.8	And this is the last summer for at least the next two years that Falcon is going to be in our backyard.
1:34.1	Because she's going to be in the Pacific for the next two years.
1:37.2	So, me, part of the reason we're doing this puzzle is we're adding some trips this year,
1:41.1	also next year, and we're opening up 2026 very soon for Falcon because the Pacific
1:45.9	calendar is almost full already. So what's coming in 2024 on East Bjorn? Yeah, so on Eastpion,
1:52.3	we're planning a sail training camp from Bergen in the fall. We haven't set the dates yet.
1:58.0	August or September, right? August or September, sometime in the early fall.
2:01.8	And it will be a week-long sail training trip, just like we had in the beginning of 24.
2:06.4	We had two of them then, and they were a huge success. And I think sailing around Bergen in
