Summary

An entrepreneurial 12-year-old wanted to earn money to buy a dirt bike, so he started delivering newspapers. On Sunday, September 5, 1982, Johnny Gosch loaded up his red wagon with copies of the Des Moines Register and set off on his early-morning route. Johnny was usually accompanied by his father, but this morning, he only had his dog with him. The people on his route all knew Johnny and his family, so when they hadn’t gotten their Sunday paper, some customers started calling the Gosch home. Johnny’s father went out to find his son, but instead of the 12-year-old, he only found the red wagon and his dog. Now, nearly 40 years later, this case has bred multiple conspiracy theories going up to the top levels of U.S. government, and has left people still passionately debating what happened to Johnny Gosh.Find us everywhere: linktr.ee/attwgpodSupport us on Patreon: patreon.com/attwgpodFor a full list of sources, please visit our blog: andthentheyweregone.com/blogSources:John David Gosch – The Charley Projecthttps://www.newspapers.com/clip/33653808/the-des-moines-register/Johnny Gosch: An Iowa kidnapping that helped change the nationhttps://news.google.com/newspapers?id=DooxAAAAIBAJ&sjid=iaUFAAAAIBAJ&pg=4588,4164919&dq=johnny+gosch&hl=enhttps://www.newspapers.com/image/?clipping_id=14328790&fcfToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJmcmVlLXZpZXctaWQiOjMzNjgxMzk0MiwiaWF0IjoxNjM3NTMzMjg3LCJleHAiOjE2Mzc2MTk2ODd9.xQTJthcoKIfJBOFI2Ujr18SCTLBM6NeXdlgq1k5Qc7Ihttps://www.newspapers.com/clip/27523101/frank-sykora-guilty-plea/John and Noreen Gosch displayed the message written on...Clipping from The Des Moines RegisterThe Twisted Unsolved Tale of the Johnny Gosch Disappearance, Part 3: A Terrifying Trail of Bread…https://web.archive.org/web/20050305100428/http://www.dmregistInstacart - Groceries delivered in as little as 1 hour.
