What God planned to do through Jesus is so big that it took a massive preparation. And the preparation

is recounted for us in the pages of the Old Testament. The purpose of the Old Testament is to prepare

for the coming of Jesus, to help us to see what the dilemma is that needs to be solved, to help

us to see the hopelessness of various alternative solutions.

I'm in the home office of John Woodhouse, who lives in Sydney, Australia.

I first discovered John when I was working on my book, The Wisdom of God, seeing Jesus in the Psalms and Wisdom books.

And I discovered, at the Gospel Coalition website, I discovered his sermons on Psalm 1 and Psalm 2.

And that led me to look deeper for more of his sermon material, which I began to listen to.
