Hello and welcome to the Midpoint. My guest today is John Vincent, a man of many talents,

and one of the most energetic, entrepreneurial, enthusiastic and curious people I know.

You might not know the name, but you will have seen one of his most successful projects come to life.

In 2005, I remember sitting around

his family dining table, along with his wife, the broadcaster, Katie Durham, who was a good friend

of mine, and a few other guests, while we sampled food that would form part of the first

menu of Leon, the healthy fast food restaurant that he would launch on Carnaby Street, along with

chef Allegro McVeedie and his business partner, Henry Dimbleby.

John described it at the time as what God would eat if he ate fast food.

After successfully growing Leon across the country, he sold it in 2021 and ventured into a variety of projects and start-ups and passions.

But just a few weeks ago, he announced he was buying Leon back.

I've always known that I would have to get John on the midpoint at some point, not least because

of his learnings on Eastern philosophies and modern medicine. More on that later, no doubt.

But his recent announcement that he's bought Leon back was the news that prompted me to text

him and get him to come in for a chat.

So let's find out why at 54 years old, John is taking on what could be the biggest challenge of his business career to date.
