Hello, and welcome back to Sochiology 101.

We're going to play another clip from a recent broadcast.

Actually, I think it's a pretty old broadcast.

It was just recently sent to me from an Ask the John Piper podcast in which a person is

struggling with their faith and just can't seem to believe. And I appreciate

the demeanor in which John Piper very cautiously addresses this individual's pain and hurt.

And again, I have to say over and over again, I'm not out to get John Piper or out to get Calvinist.

I just disagree with them theologically. And because our theology drives our methodology, the way in which John Piper answers this

struggling person's email is very different than the way I and other traditionalists would

answer this person.

And I think these things need to be weighed out and understood because I think this is where

the rubber meets the road.

This is the practical implications of our theology. And that's one of the reasons I've chosen

to do this podcast to address some of these very practical concerns that are often raised
