Welcome back to Sociology 101.

As you can see there on the screen, we're going to talk a little bit about J.D. Greer and

Danny Aiken with both leaders in the Southern Baptist Convention.

J.D. is the presidential nominee along with Ken Hempill.

And Danny Aiken is the president of southeastern Baptist Theological

Seminary, all of which are great brothers, but there has been obviously some back and forth with

regard to the different sociological beliefs of the various candidates. Danny Aiken has been

supporting J.D. Greer and has been defending him

against the accusations of being a Calvinist. Now, I was a Calvinist for 10 years, and I can understand

the desire to distance yourself from the label Calvinism. Calvinism has been maligned in a lot of

different ways and has many different definitions and titles and misnomer's about it.

And so I understand when I was a Calvinist for 10 years, somebody had asked me if I was a Calvinist, I would typically have told them no or said something.

Well, it depends on how you define Calvinism and all those kinds of things.

So I don't fault these guys for not wanting to wear the label Calvinism.
