So welcome to our daily rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we promised to pray for.

Today we are in Poland at the beautiful shrine of Calvria. It is a shrine out in the woods in the foothills of the mountains dedicated to all the

holy places in Jerusalem and the mysteries of the Rosary and here we are focused on St. John Paul

the second his prayer life but actually we're going to meditate today on the fact that John Paul in 1979 said that one of the reasons God made him Pope was to get the church

ready to give the church its plan for the third millennium.

So John Paul said,

God made me Pope to give the church its thousand year plan.

So what I'm going to give you today in our Rosary meditation is the plan for the next thousand years. So in 1994 John Paul wrote a letter to the world called Tertzio millennial adventiente.

I can't speak Latin.

I can barely speak English. But in that letter he said that he was called by

God to prepare the church in the world for the new springtime of faith and that that new springtime would come on the heels of three events.

First, the great Jubilee of the year 2000 in which God would flood the

world with an ocean of grace. We've had that event already. Second, a worldwide

purification that would dispose hearts to be open to conversion.

And then third, the new evangelization.

And he believed it was his job to get us ready.

Our Father who art in heaven, hollow would be your name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be down on earth as it is in heaven.
