With the government under heavy fire over their immigration policy,

I was joined by the Conservative Party Deputy Chairman James Cleverley

and Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell came on the show

to discuss the party's ongoing round over anti-Semitism. It has not been a good week for the Home Secretary Amber Rudd,

already in trouble over the treatment of undocumented Caribbean migrants

who arrived after the Second World War, the so-called Windrush Generation.

Attention this week turned to illegal immigrants.

Labor says it's the government's attempt to create a hostile environment for people in the UK illegally

that led to the culture in which members of the Windrush Generation lost jobs had benefits

and health care suspended and been threatened with deportation.

Well, under questioning from the Home Affairs Select Committee this week, Amber Rudd denied

that removal targets existed within the Home Office for illegal migrants.

But within 24 hours, she was forced to admit that they did exist, but that she wasn't
