KFI. All right. So we have this strange story out of Riverside County, which we're going to

explore with reporter Corbyn Carson. The DA out there has announced that, well, due to a judge shortage,

they got to dismiss 500 criminal court cases. We need to dig into this and find out why and what

kind of cases they are. Let's bring Corbin on and talk about it. Corby, how are you? Yeah, so doing great.

You really took the words right out of my mouth.

I started reporting on this a couple weeks ago.

It was just dozens of cases back then.

But now they're saying, as you said, more than 500 criminal cases, 50 of those are felony

cases.

I spoke with Riverside County Chief Assistant DA John Aki. Here's some of those

cases that were dismissed just in the last week. We have the case of people versus Flores,

which was an attempted murder, assault with a firearm, robbery, and assault with a deadly

weapon on a peace officer. that case was just dismissed.

See, attempt robberies that have been dismissed this past week,

the carjacking, several domestic violence cases.

We had one where a senior pastor who committed sexual batteries as a misdemeanor

at the New Beginnings Community Church, which we can never refile now.

And that was a registrable offense.
