All right, we understand that Jack Smith, the special counsel in the Justice Department,

is supposed to make a statement about what just happened last hour.

The word that Trump has been indicted again.

Four counts, federal grand jury, efforts to overturn the 2020 election that led up to the

January 6th, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol. The counts are conspiracy to defraud the United States,

conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an attempt to obstruct an official

proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.

It is a 45-page indictment, John, and I've been reading it during the break, but I only got

halfway through. But I wanted to read one section that I think is particularly important.

A lot of it, the detail in the cases about how Trump and his co-conspirators inserted themselves

in certain states that were very close. You can probably guess those states, Arizona, Georgia,

Pennsylvania, Michigan, to question the outcome and to make certain assertions. But here's a key

part. Beginning in early December

2020, he and co-conspirators developed a new plan to marshal individuals who would have served

as the defendant's electors had he won the popular vote in seven targeted states, Arizona,
