So over the weekend, you had two stories.

They may have gotten confusing because they both happen in Texas.

They both involved mass killings.

The big difference was one, Mauricio Garcia.

He killed eight people and wounded seven others with an AR-15 assault rifle at a shopping mall.

And the other guy used a range rover and drove over eight people and injured nine others. So in both cases, you had eight people

who were killed. Now, we're going to talk first with Alex Stone about the outlet ball shooting

in Allen, Texas.

Alex, how are you?

Hey there, John, doing well, and then we are learning quite a bit more today,

and we know among the dead, they're killed by the gunmen.

Two sisters in the second and fourth grades,

Daniela and Sophia Mendoza, their school putting out a note to teachers today saying that they were raised of sunshine.

20-year-old Christian LeCourer, he was killed as well.

Others are still being identified, and police are trying to figure out.

You know, we could run it on a loop anytime we do one of these, understand the why and the how and the background of this 33-year-old guy getting out of his car in the parking lot with an AR-style rifle shooting into kind of a little, not a courtyard necessarily, but where the building goes in a little bit and there's a tree right in the middle, so people are kind of cornered into it outside on the outer wall of the

mall along the sidewalks. They really couldn't run anywhere. They were kind of stuck into that

little inlet as he was shooting into the area. Joshua Barnwell is a military vet who was on scene and

jumped in to help out. I approached the woman who was conscious. She said, please work on my daughter.

This woman had massive trauma. Five to six gunshot wounds. I went to her daughter. I immediately started chest compressions. I knew

she was gone. We know John, the shooter had been discharged from the Army. Looks like maybe during
