We're going to be talking to a mayor and a city attorney together coming on the John and Ken show.

And this is about one southern California's towns' efforts to fight Newsome and Sacramento

when they're being told to ruin their single family home city to build more and more high-rise housing.

This is an ongoing battle, but Huntington Beach has been out front in opposing this

dictate from Sacramento.

I would imagine this is going to end up in the state Supreme Court one day.

They have a lot of legal arguments why they will not and cannot comply with these mandates from Sacramento trying to take over local control, right?

Yeah, I think the bottom line is every city ought to have control over how it wants the city to be built out, period.

That's right.

You elect these people to make these decisions and you elect them locally.

How can you have states 39 million people, you know, as hundreds and hundreds of towns

in every possible demographic, every possible living environment, how could you have one guy

mandate, dictate what the rules are going to be?

It's crazy. That's what local county supervisor

boards and local town councils are for. Period. I mean, I don't, a period, full stop, in fact. How about

that? How about that? I'm sure there are other places in California with the city governments who are

like, oh, they'll bow to Newsom, sure, we'll build

...
