On March 4th, 2019, the Democratic governor from Colorado, John Hickenlooper, officially announced

he would be joining the growing field of Democrats in the 2020 presidential election via

YouTube video titled Stand Tall.

I'm John Hickenlooper. I'm running for president because we're facing a crisis that threatens

everything we stand for. As a skinny kid with Coke bottle glasses and a funny last name,

I've stood up to my fair share of bullies. Standing tall when it matters is one of the things that really drives me.

America has elected brewers to the highest office in the land since the earliest days of the Republic.

Both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were known to have

brewing operations on their estates. If former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper is America's next president,

he'll join that tradition. An abandoned warehouse in a forgotten corner of Denver,

became a successful group up. Hickenlooper shot part of his presidential announcement video inside the WinCoop Brewing Company,

a brewery he helped build in the late 1980s after a career as a geologist.

Hick and Loper became a politician in 2003, running successfully for mayor of Denver,

then re-elected four years later before winning the state race for Colorado
