On February 10th, 2019, Democratic Senator from Minnesota, Amy Klobuchar announced she was joining the 2020 presidential race.

She made that announcement on a snowy day and Boom Island Park, Minneapolis.

Now, we don't let a little snow stop us. We don't let a little cold stop us. Like, are you guys

even cold? Tell the truth. Within 48 hours of the senator's announcement, her campaign had raised more than $1 million.

Fox News Radio's Jared Halpern has more on Senator Amy Klobuchar.

A third-term senator, Minnesota Democrat Amy Klobuchar, is undefeated in races she's run in first elected county attorney in Minneapolis in 1998.

She won re-election in 2002 before running for an open Senate seat in 2006.

Klobuchar has been re-elected twice in 2012 and 2018 by wide margins.

I believe that candidates for office, whether a Democrat or a Republican, have to go not just where it's comfortable, but where it's uncomfortable.

It's for that reason, Klobuchar says she has sat down for interviews across all news networks, including one with Fox's Brett Baer back in February.

In the Senate, Klobuchar has also struck a bipartisan tone labeled at times as a centrist Democrat.

I believe in progress, and that's being progressive.

But what I really also believe in is that we need to stop governing from chaos and move to opportunity.

And these are views and values, not just consistent with my party, but also with America.

Klopachar's recently reached American audiences as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, asking questions of Supreme Court nominees and credited for an even temper during the often heated hearing with Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
