Today is January 7, 2006. Welcome back to Talking Giants with Sean Marash and Justin Penick.

And we got some things to talk about because John Harbaugh has been let go.

He is no longer the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. He is out.

And it looks like he is the favorite to land the giant's job. At least he's the favorite in the Giants building to land the Giants job. And I guess we're going to have to see how everything develops and how everything breaks down. If John Harbaugh wants to come here, Kevin Stefansky, I think, is in the running too. Without John Harbaugh, we thought that he was going to be the favorite. He is, of course, in the running two.

Giants are getting lined up to interview a bunch of other candidates as well.

Sean Marash, this is going to be a big John Harbaugh stream, John Borough hype stream, because we may not know how long we'll be able to have this pipe dream with us.

How are you doing, man?

I'm excited. I'd use the word excited, Justin. We've come a long way since not getting the first or second overall pick on Sunday. And we've picked up the bootstraps. And I, oddly enough, and maybe this is sad enough, this feels like the most excitement we've had in a, in Giants world in a couple months here. You're picking up your bootstraps, or you're talking about that we're a hard hat pod?

Hard hat pod.

It's our new identity.

With John Harbaugh, we'll get to Stefansky and some of the other candidates and things like that.

With John Harbaugh, I think the Giants, the New York football giants, have stumbled into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

And if lifetime is that, if that's too much of an exaggeration for you, then I think once every decade, probably closer to two-decade opportunity.

A talking point of this team and a frustration amongst fans is we're just one

year behind or ahead of everything that's good.

Herbert didn't declare in 2019.

Just short of Drake May and the big three of the 2024 draft.

A year off of Ben Johnson, Mike Vrable, etc.

Sean, make this count.

And we'll talk about why.

But I think right now there's an opportunity that's on a platter.

And some of it may be out of the Giants control.
