Sean, a disappointing, empty feeling as the Giants beat the Dallas Cowboys to end the year by a score 34 to 17.

It's just another year gone by. Pretty forgettable year. It's a shrug your shoulders because it's another year where the losing kind of means nothing, Sean. How are you doing? I guess okay. Okay would be the word. Let me just say this, Justin, because I know we're going to have a lot of mixed reactions from our audience, both live and podcastable. And thank you guys for joining us in this

putrid season. The NFL is broken, man. Like, I'm just going to harp on this. The NFL is

broken with this stupid system that we have unfortunately had to live through so many years we're

rooting for losses at the end of the year. I just sat in back-to-back Sundays not knowing how to react when my future franchise quarterback is making plays. Like he's making an awesome flip play to Bellinger, which we'll get to. He's making an unreal seed throw to Tracy. He's making some plays last week first to Raiders. And as a fan, I want the Giants to lose because what was better for the franchise was getting a first or second overall pick and trading back. I know we're going to do all that. And just, man, the NFL is fundamentally broken when as a fan the last couple weeks of the year, I'm supposed to not know what I'm supposed to do with my hands. Like I cannot enjoy wins when that's like the whole purpose of the league as a fan is to invest money, invest time, and enjoy wins. And I know you're in the stadium and, you know, we'll get to kind of how the fans felt in there. But I hate that. And I hate the idea that when the schedule comes out in May, Justin, we looked at it and we knew based on opponents, it was going to be a tough as hell schedule. And we see that murderers road to start the season.

And we know we are behind the eight ball from the jump when we look at that kind of schedule. Like it's going to be an uphill battle. And then it is. And the Giants lose these games in crazy fashion. And we go through this whole year. but then we get to the end and how they decide to break the ties of bad putrid records in the NFL of which this year there were at least seven of them.

How they choose to break the ties is by punishing the teams at the beginning of the year whose fan bases already felt like they had no shot based on that same schedule.

The strength of schedule we knew going in would screw the Giants from being competitive

and we exit the season with it screwing us from our proper place atop the mantle of picking

in the top three.

And I just find that to be so fundamentally broken.

I can't scream enough about how I know teams would tank anyway with lottery bowls and

the lottery and like we'd have an NBA situation.

That's still better than this.

I don't think fans like us as Giants fans should feel as empty as we felt at the end of seasons,

knowing we can't even enjoy the wins because they just, they don't need them.

It sucks.
