Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book. Today we begin looking at the final chapter of the Gospel of John. Our time in this book has been

marvelous, as we have learned more about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In John chapter 20, we saw

the climax of the book as Jesus rose from the dead. It would seem an appropriate place to end the

book, but it was not complete in God's eyes,

and God always completes his work. So in this chapter we have an epilogue that has

important and enlightening application for our lives. Let's now join Pastor John for our study

in John chapter 21 and hear the Lord speak to us.

Gospel of John, we come to the epilogue of John's Gospel, the final chapter in this glorious

study presenting Jesus Christ as the Son of God. To many people, the epilogue seems as though it's been tacked on.

For chapter 20 concludes with the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

And John signs off that chapter by saying these things were written

that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ,

the Son of God, and believing you might have life through his name.
