Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

Here on Searchlight, we have been getting a lesson on the things that are important in ministry.

This lesson is from Jesus and found in John Chapter 17. In this chapter, Jesus is praying to the

Father and reporting on his ministry. In this prayer, we see the things that are important for our

ministry, and remember, we are all ministers. As we join our teaching

in progress, we are looking at the statement of Jesus that he kept all those who were given

to him by the Father. The Father gives us people as well. Unfortunately, sometimes people

become estranged from us. Let's now listen in as Pastor John explains

that even these people can be kept in our heart. Oh, I've tried and so of you to reconcile

things in the flesh or make things happen in your energy. It doesn't work, at least not for me.

You have to wait. But I realize this.

Man, I better make sure that that person, those people, are still jewels on my heart.

Because in heaven, he might be my roommate forever.

You know, we're all going to heaven.
