It has been rightly said that prayer is not giving God orders,

but it is reporting for duty. In our study in

John Chapter 17, we have been listening in to a prayer of Jesus where he is doing just that. Jesus is

reporting for duty to the Father. And more specifically, Jesus is giving a report to the Father about his ministry.

We can learn much about our own ministry from the example given by Jesus.

So let's now join Pastor John and listen to Jesus as he talks to the Father.

Jesus here in John 17 is giving an account of his life, of his ministry to the Father, only

hours before he is to be crucified.

He knows the time has come.

And here we have a glorious opportunity to eaves drop in on the prayer of Jesus that he is offering

to the Father giving an account of his life and of his ministry.
