Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

In our recent searchlight studies, we have been looking at John Chapter 14 and the wonderful hope that

we have in heaven. Today, we will start a verse-by-verse study of Chapter 15, where Jesus will

talk about the help that we have here on earth. These instructions from Jesus are powerful and practical,

not just for those disciples 2,000 years ago,

but for us today. Let's now join Pastor John and hear the words of Jesus for us.

John 15. Of course, it was the night before Jesus' crucifixion.

And so he gathered his boys together in an upper room where he was giving them his final instructions.

As those disciples realized that heavy things were coming down, there in the 14th chapter,

Jesus said, let not your heart be troubled.

There's hope for you.

Hope in heaven.

And that really is the central basic message of John 14.

Hope in heaven. See the big picture. Get a handle on your destiny and let not your heart be troubled.
