Thysman, who played at Notre Dame, actually still holds the all-time single game

passing record at Notre Dame, which you set Joe back in 1970 against USC, 526 yards.

The former at Washington Redskins quarterback, I would be, I would get in big trouble at home if I did not mention that you were the Washington Redskins quarterback.

My mom and dad were big, we're big Redskins fans and Big Joe Thaisman fans, obviously. But welcome to the show. Thanks for joining us today, Mr. Thaisman. Brian, thank you so much for having me. Trevor, it's good to catch up with you guys. Yeah, it's funny that through all this time, no one at Notre Dame has thrown for more than 500 yards. As much as they throw the ball around in this era of football,

it's amazing that that record still stands. Well, I know Jack Cohn was the closest to get there.

I was actually at the Fiesta Bowl game in 2021 when he threw for 509 yards in that game.

And that's the closest. Brady Quinn never even got the 500. He had a bunch of games in the

400s during his career, but never got the five. So there's only been two games ever that were over 500

yards. And you talk about doing it in big moments. Jack did his in the Fiesta Bowl. You did yours

against USC. So, you know, saving your best for the biggest moments. But you obviously went on to

have a long career at
