I really think one of the healthiest practices we can do is to take a break from social media sometimes.

I've been talking to you all month about Compassion International, a ministry I dearly love.

We've personally been sponsoring a child in El Salvador named Paula since about

2011, and she's now a young woman. I got to meet her and see her home, just an incredible

experience. We've written letters back and forth through the years. It's become a relationship

of sorts. Such a blessing to us. Lots of kids and other countries long for this. It gives them such

hope in the midst of poverty and pain to know that someone is thinking of them, giving to them,

writing them letters, a true heart connection. I can tell you when I was over there that one of the

things that was the most compelling is seeing these kids bring out scrapbooks

of letters from their sponsors and talk about what it meant to them to know that they were

remembered, to know that they were thought of. Letters to these kids are as important as the
