I'm Lisa Whittle and welcome to the Jesus Over Everything show, affectionately known as Joe, where this season it's all about truth-telling, finding the good, and showing up for our lives today, no matter what has happened, even yesterday. My guest today is one I knew I could dive deep with,
0:22.3	and we did that almost right away. Jackie Hill Perry is a poet, an author, and a teacher,
0:27.5	often at the same time, as is the case with her new book holier than now. I loved the book,
0:32.9	but what I really loved was digging into this important topic of the holiness of God with her. We talked about

1:19.0	maybe in a new way, maybe for the first time in their life. Show up can mean a lot of different
1:24.7	things for a lot of people. You and I know each other, I'd say a bit,
1:28.3	not super well. That's kind of the way I would define it. So are you the person who's someone
1:34.6	who does know well would say, oh, she's the one who's always going to show up? Or are they like,
1:42.5	she may or may not show up? Now, I do realize, I do realize this question could go a couple of different ways and I'm
1:49.2	not defining it any more than that.
1:51.0	Yeah.
1:52.0	But just, when you hear that, what do you think?
1:54.0	I think it depends on what I'm showing up for.
1:57.0	Yeah.
1:58.0	You know, so I think if the expectation is I'm having to get together every other month
2:04.3	with all of my friends, Jackie most likely is not going to show up unless that really matters to you.
