Summary

Today's interview is a gift to every JOE listener. On October 2nd of this year, Lisa interviewed author and coach, Shelly Miller. Earlier this year Shelly was diagnosed with a sarcoma tumor. The tumor was removed in May but the cancer quickly returned aggressively and spread rapidly. Just one month after recording this interview, Shelly met Jesus face to face. This interview is aired today, in her absence, with permission from her family. Listen as Shelly talks about her book Searching for Certainty and hear her own words when asked the question, "What is the last thing you would say about Jesus if you could only say one more thing."   Links: Searching for Certainty Website Instagram Dwell App     Learn more about Lisa at LisaWhittle.com   Produced by Unmutable™

Hi, friend. I come to you today with a heavy heart to let you know that today's interview with

0:06.7

my friend, Shelly Miller, is being aired in her absence. Shelly went home to be with the Lord on

0:12.5

Sunday, November 1st, All Saints Day. It happened rather rapidly after the cancer that she and I

0:18.7

talk about openly on the show returned aggressively,

0:22.3

spread rapidly, and she developed a vascular bleed and died in the hospital.

0:28.2

It is still on my calendar right now. This interview with Shelly took place on Friday,

0:35.4

October 2nd, just one month before.

0:40.0

It's hard to get the words out right now.

0:43.5

Shelley's bio on Instagram still reads,

0:46.7

Rest Mentor.

0:48.1

And that is exactly what she was and still is as she models the ultimate rest in the arms of Jesus.

0:56.4

As only God would have it, she birthed a book to be released simultaneous to her physical dying, called Searching for Certainty.

1:05.0

It is a beautiful book I gladly endorsed because Shelly well knew where certainty was found.

1:12.9

And now, even more so,

1:20.3

she lives it. One more thing before this interview airs. It is with the permission of her family that I air it in her absence. Shelly asked to be interviewed on the date we did because she was

1:27.4

getting her reports back the next week and she knew if they weren't good she might not emotionally feel up to the interview.

1:34.2

I'm so grateful for that foresight. I asked her the same question I ask every single guest at the end of the show,

1:40.7

what's the last thing you'd say about Jesus if you could only say one more thing?

1:45.9

Who knew in just one month she'd get to see him for herself?

1:50.3

I love you, Shelly.

1:52.5

Rest well, my friend.

1:54.3

Thank you for giving us the gift of these words of yours, even now.
