These are questions I asked my guest, Treven Wax, in our interview, former missionary,

contributing editor to Christianity today, and author of R rethink yourself, the power of looking up before looking in. We had a great

conversation about it, among other things, and I also made sure to tell him exactly what kind of name

I thought Trevin Wax was. And he told me basically, I was dead wrong about that.

Okay, first off, your name is Trevin Wax. Please tell me you played sports because this is a fantastic announcer name. I wish I was more of a sports person, but I'm actually more of a music guy.

So I grew up with people saying, Trevin, this is, this is a rock star name. I never got

close to being cool enough for that to work. But you know, my grandfather's name is Nevin.

My father's name is Kevin. And then my name is Trevin. Interesting. That is, that's a lot.

Because, you know, I do the whole thing that my mom did that I thought I'd never do. It's just like recite every single name in the family before I get to the right kid. You know, Graham, Shay, Micah, you know, I do that. I can't imagine this Nevin, Kevin, Trevin. That is wild.

Yes. I just imagined you being announced like on the basketball court, Trevin Wax, so that's amazing.

Well, I'm not tall enough. I was more of a soccer player. I had stamina. It wasn't great, but actually could run the field. That was about the extent of my athletic ability.

Okay. Well, not to bring up old wounds, but I just thought that

was super interesting. Okay. So I don't, I'm not going to ask you your middle name because that could

get, I don't know, that could be weird or maybe you're fine with it. But did you like the name
