Oh, goodness, last Thursday of February, and the next time we come together it will be March.

Guys, spring, this is crazy, right? I don't know who came up with the phrase time flies,

but never has anyone been more right. It flies, literally. This series of phrases Christian's love

has been fun for me. I think you've liked it too. I hope it's been insightful and interesting for you. I really want us to be more this year as believers, not do more,

but be more, be wiser, be stronger, be more committed to biblical truth and foundational

literacy than ever before. I'm trusting and believing even that this series might help a bit in that way.

Today is the last of the series, and I've saved a good one for our last one. So let's dive right in.

When one door closes, another one opens.

This is such a familiar phrase, right?

Not just in Christendom, I think, but in all of phraseology.

But Christians seem to especially love it, I think, and use it often because it sounds amazing.

It sounds really spiritual.

I think, in fact, who doesn't love the idea that our life is sort of a series of doors?

I think that feels very spiritual, something very awesome about that. Maybe the one that doesn't feel as good as that one closing, boo, hiss, while another one much more golden, maybe having twinkle lights around it that's opening already to welcome in the better thing coming when that horrible other one closed. We love this visual

because we love the idea that this is the way life works. Always opportunity and goodness

around the corner. And especially as believers, we feel like that's the

life that God has promised us. Now, look, I'm going to be real with you. I can be pessimistic by

nature. I used to tease and say that I was a realist, but pessimistic people I've noticed always say

that. We say that we're realists. That is how it feels when you have this personality. It's like

you're simply being realistic about the way life is. And I do feel like there is a sense of
