Hi, and welcome to Jesus Over Everything, a short practical podcast that mixes encouragement,

0:05.8

the Bible, how-toes, and fantastic interviews for the listener on the go. I'm Lisa Whittle,

0:11.3

and I welcome you to just a few minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be time well spent.

You might have come here to listen today because I've intrigued you by the title. Maybe you've

0:20.3

already figured it out.

0:21.4

It's a word a lot of us use and don't even think another thing about it. I've used it so many

0:26.4

times myself, probably even today if I could recall all my conversations, but someone wise told me

0:31.6

once that it creates the biggest distance between us and other people, so it's probably time to

1:00.1

and you respond with a very honest, I'm just so busy right now. Or this is such a busy season of

1:06.6

life. All true, by the way, because we are all so busy, right? And let me just say this,

1:13.3

which may wind up sounding a little bit like a soapbox, but I'm not of the camp. We should

1:19.0

abolish every single word anymore, right? The world has gotten a little nuts with this,

1:23.5

a little carried away, pretty much every day anymore. I hear words we're not supposed to say

1:27.5

because they're not politically correct. And look, some of the words are dated and they carry

1:32.2

mindsets that need to go, absolutely. But sometimes it's just being flat out ridiculous and nitpicky,

1:38.8

in my opinion. To me, though, the word busy is one that we should take a good look at, take some note as to

1:45.9

what it does to us in our relationships, and at least work on a different way to communicate,

1:50.7

maybe how we feel about our lives with other people. The reason I'm even talking about this,
