Hi, and hello, my listening friend. I'm so grateful you've joined me on this Monday as we continue in our

Rise series on Joe. We've covered a lot already and up today. I want to get into something that's

important to all of us in some way, no matter who we are. It's going to be a theme all week.

Tomorrow's guest, Wednesday's interview, Friday's Friday 5, and this is about rising in leadership, both our personal leadership

and rising in our discernment of leaders as well, too. Let's get into it.

So leadership is something I talk about online a good bit. I admit I was a born leader.

I have very typical leader

qualities. I'm decisive and I don't mind making the first move. In fact, in a committee type setting,

I prefer to be the one leading the meeting or conversation. It's just innate in me to do this.

And some of you are nodding along right now as you listen because you can relate to this.

Some of you are not at all

relating to this because you would rather die than lead a meeting. You want to slink into the back

of the room and no one see you and definitely you don't want to talk. Maybe decision making is harder

for you. So because of these things, you don't see yourself as a leader. But the truth is, as I've said

before, we're all leaders in the

sense that we have a call on our life to lead people to Jesus. It's our responsibility. It is what we

are commissioned to do. We're all leaders in some way, just as we all are all in ministry. I've talked

about both at length on this show when it was the Five Word Prayers Daily, so you may want to go back and revisit those old shows to listen, but some of us need to rise

in leadership personally.
