we are talking through this idea of discipleship. After something I read in the books forward that

made me second guess what I may have always thought about discipleship, I wanted to know what is

discipleship exactly. You'll see what I mean. And I asked Candy how she came to be such a discipleship

expert. Well, I don't say it exactly like that, but sort of. In our fun show ending, I find out what

poster she had on her wall growing up. That was fun. And like all my guests, she's a good sport about

asking all of that and much more. Listen now as we dive into

So, Candy, we are talking about a topic today that I've kind of watched become almost trendy in the last few years.

And your husband, who's a pastor, alluded to that in his intro of your book, Disciple Her, when he said,

I'm excited that discipleship is being talked about more today than ever before.

However, I'm concerned about the future.

Many are slapping the discipleship label on everything from

hangouts to Bible studies to pizza socials to Sunday night training classes. So I don't disagree with

him, but I want to ask you, if it's not those things, then what is it exactly? Yeah, that's such a

great question. And I would say it's some of those

things. It's a little bit of those things. But what we believe, and we've spent a lot of time

defining discipleship, and this is the definition that we have prayed over and we have used for
