Happy Monday, friend. Today is our last in the lies we hear and believe series we've been in

every Monday this month, and I've been grateful for the response we hear and believe series we've been in every Monday this month.

And I've been grateful for the response we've gotten from this.

Today is one of those lies I hear quite a bit, and it always makes me a little crazy when I do.

I just wasn't born gifted like they were, usually talking about someone we admire who is very charismatic,

a great leader, and it's that dangerous comparison game we get into sometimes. We see what others

have, and man, there are a ton of talented people out there for sure, but there's a passage

of scripture that always rains me back in when I'm tempted to buy into this lie, and we'll dip

into it right

after this.

If you've ever heard me speak, you may have heard me dive into this passage.

And I think I've even talked about it on here a while back on the Five Word Pairs Daily

show as well, which friends, you do know that all those shows, over 250 of them

are in iTunes if you want to go back and listen, by the way. But Acts 3 and 4 is a favorite

passage of mine, and it talks about Peter and John going to the temple to pray one afternoon

and encountering the beggar by the temple gate and him asking them for money, and instead,

by the power of the

Holy Spirit through Peter being healed. Such a powerful passage. I wish we had time to go into it.
