Hi, and welcome to Jesus Over Everything, a five-day-a-week variety show that mixes encouragement,

the Bible, practical how-toes, and fantastic guests for the listener on the go. I'm Lisa Whittle,

and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well-spent.

It's an exciting day around here because it's our first sort of

official Jesus Over Everything show, though we did do one show on January the first, an interview

with my friend Wendy Speak, which I hope you'll go back and listen to if you haven't already.

Back on December 14th, I told you all about what you can expect on the newly launched

Jesus Over Everything with Lisa Whittle's show, really an extension of the vision of our former five-word prayers daily.

But I know that's been a while, so I'm going to recap all of that and tell you why this show,

why my passion for the name of the show, all of it today in just a minute.

We have had the best time on the Five Word Prayers Daily for one solid year.

And if you've been a faithful listener of that show, thank you so much.

Truly, without it, we wouldn't be diving into the show now.

And I will tell you that we've been paying close attention to what you love about the five-word prayers daily, and those are

the things we are keeping as we transition into Jesus over everything. For one thing, I'll still

be here. I hope you're okay about that. I'll be hosting every day, five days a week, and our shows will still just be about five minutes every single day.

You've said you love the quick shows that help you get started in the day or pick you up in the afternoon, and we want to honor and keep that.

We love that, too, by the way. But we also want to provide for you a little more variety in what we do,

and Jesus Over Everything will give us that opportunity. I'm really excited about this because I myself

love a mix of tradition, but also something fresh and new as well, and that is exactly our aim.
