Fascinating guests this week, Joe Nick Petoski,

not Petalski.

I always pronounced it Petalski, but Joe Nick quickly corrected me when we started this

podcast which you'll hear but old Joe Nick has been around for a long time and

really knows the Austin scene in Texas

seen way better than probably just about anybody else.

He's written an amazing book about my old friend Willie Nelson.

He written a great book, well-researched book about,

as you guys know, source subject, my Dallas Cowboys, covered Stevie Ray Vaughn, covered Selena,

been around a long time. I think you'll find it fascinating. Before we get to

Joe Nick, a couple of things. Happy, happy Thanksgiving to you all. I do have a lot to be thankful

for. Speaking of that, I'd like to start something here on the forward and just if you guys can help me out with this it would be great.

I'm going to start a new weekly feature called the Survivor of the Week.

Obviously, I'm a cancer survivor so I suspect most of the cases or most of the

highlighted survivors will be cancer survivors.

But I'm going to start the week with somebody,

we get a lot of emails into the inbox here at the forward,

but this one came through a couple of weeks ago,

and it was pretty intense to read.

I haven't had many emails like this,

but I'm going to go ahead and kick off week one with this email and make this our highlighted survivor of the week.
