My name is Joe, and I'm a real alcoholic.

To God's grace, we held this program, worked each day in my life.

And then this there's me to take a drink of alcohol since March 10th of 1962.

For this time, I'm extremely grateful.

It's, uh, my first time really, I'm my second time in this part of the country, first time to talk in AA, and I say I've had many experiences.

But it seems like there's always something new, a new place to go in our hearts anonymous.

And it's been a great day today. I was telling the guys on the front row everybody was complaining about the heat talking about it's hot that's just you ought to come to Arkansas we would call it the cold snap I was telling the guys on the front road the other day,

I came on the news.

It was they found two trees arguing over a dog.

You know, it was so hot.

But I say I am, being an alcoholic, I, at one time in my life,

that's what this is all about, that we talk about,

that I suffered from an illness, which is only a spiritual experience to a concept.

And as a result of the program in the big book of Alcoholics Anonymous through the practice in that program,

through God working in my life, I have time necessary to take a drink.

And this is what these things are all about, to tell what it was like and what happened and what it's like right now.

I think it's fascinating to me and a great challenge each time.
