Unfictional is KCRW's program of stories and original documentaries. It's a part of KCRW's program of Stories and Original Documentaries.

It's a part of KCRW's independent producer project,

a laboratory for radio producers, writers and performers.

And today on the program, we pay another visit to the world of

legendary radio artist Joe Frank. For the last few months he's been producing

brand new programs for unfictional, but for decades Joe Frank has been making radio that defies easy

description, blurring the line between fiction and reality.

It's the experience of turning on the radio during a long car drive and

dropping into the middle of something unsettling and disturbing and hilarious all at once.

Joe Frank describes today's program as a sweeping philosophical inquiry into the nature

of God, morality, love, human suffering, and restaurant tipping.

That sounds about right. I think there might be a
