But as the 2024 presidential election looms on the horizon, there has never been a more important time to have the necessary conversation.

Welcome to this week's episode of The Necessary Conversation. I'm Chad Colchin. With me this week

is my mom, Mary Lou, my dad, Bob, and my sister, Haley. Now, I wanted to try something different this week. I want to do a new

segment to open the show that I'm calling the opening complaint. In this segment, one of us is going to get a

couple of minutes to complain about something that we think is wrong in the country and issue

a solution to that problem.

How would we go about fixing whatever this problem is?

During this time, no one else can speak.

This is time given only to that person.

Again, no one else can say anything during this. It is just a monologue. We're listening

to this person's ideas, what they think is wrong with the country, how they would fix it. So no one

else can speak. Again, I'll say the first person, I'm talking to whoever may be listening.

The first person who's going to get an opening complaint is mom. Go for it. What is your opening

complaint this week? Okay. I have to preface this by saying our very first episode, once we got

off the air and had taped it, you told me I needed to focus better. Well, during that episode, I had a

dog in my arms that needed medicine on its anal glands. I had to speak with you, pick up the dog,

put the medicine on, come back into the conversation, and then you told me, you needed to focus

a little better. So I need to preface with that.

And then about a week and a half ago, I think I spoke with you and I said,

my voice just sounds kind of weird.

And you said, I can't help you with that.
