It takes stuff that's supposed to be emotional and find both the comedy and the tragedy in it.

Guys, thanks so much for being here. Thanks for having us. Yeah, thanks a lot. But it's, I mean, before we get into the show,

that's a very interesting thing, going back to the Footfist Way, which you collaborated on as well.

This sort of tension between comedy and tragedy is sort of taking the 70s and adding

something else to it. I wonder where that came from. Is it almost like a regional kind of a sensibility or what?

It might be a regional thing.

I also think it comes from, you know, we were always fans of 70s films, filmmakers.

That was one thing we've always talked about and had in common kind of a shared interest in these films.

We're also kind of video brats in a lot of

ways where we've, you know, we've grown up on whatever meatballs and these kind of movies. So

I think it's probably just a kind of some kind of fusion of everything we love, you know,

kind of this is just how it comes out. But I mean, Dan, you've even used it in other movies. I mean,

I think I hate to bring up other movies that you've done without Jody.

But the fact is that you sort of brought...

I don't recognize those.

Well, I won't mention anything, but I won't mention Hot Rod by name, but...
