treat. Let's get into the word. We're going to start in chapter six. We'll pray. And if you would,

join with me. We'll ask God to bless our time together in his word in this very interesting book

of Job. I have to warn you, though, before we jump in that it's going to get kind of gnarly, for lack of a better word, a little bit intense,

and quite honestly, even a little bit depressing, but God.

So why don't we pray?

Father in heaven, I am so thankful to you for those that are here tonight for our Bible study.

And Lord, I thank you for their love for your word.

And Lord, I pray that we tonight, in our time together, in your word, would just really be sensitive to that still small voice

of the Holy Spirit as you speak into our lives, especially with what we have before us tonight

in these chapters here in the book of Job.

Lord, we need understanding and we need for you to give us that understanding.

Because a lot of the things that we're going to see here tonight are going to be a little bit difficult.

And so, Lord, we just need to be able to process it.

And we know that by the Holy Spirit we can do that.

So would you enable us to do that?

Verse one, Job 6. Then Job answered and said, now he's responding now to Eliphaz, who heretofore has just been accusing Job of secret sin in his life and, of course, falsely.

And so Job now responds and says, verse 2,

O that my grief were fully weighed and my calamity laid with it on the scales, for then it would be heavier than the sand of the sea.
