0:57.0	The last time that we talked, you and Jeremy were here explaining how you found this freedom that you didn't know existed from fear and from what you consider to be maybe hyper religious or, I don't want, what's the word I'm looking for, legalistic practices that were surrounding you growing up as a child. And now you've
1:03.6	written a book about breaking free from people pleasing. Can you just go back and remind us, how did you start this journey and recognize
1:14.3	that there was such freedom? Yeah, it was interesting. Growing up in the studying that I did,
1:20.4	I had loving parents who pointed me to Jesus, and they were very faithful in that, teaching me the
1:27.1	true gospel, all of those things um but sadly
1:31.5	they got wrapped up in some teaching that was heavily steeped in legalism in manmade religion
1:37.8	in superstition and fear and that led me to some very um difficult places where I felt myself being so consumed with
1:47.4	trying to please God based upon even performance and outward things that I would do.
1:52.9	And it was something that drove my desires to like want to please God, want to please
1:58.6	people around me in an unhealthy way. And so I was so thankful.
2:04.5	God broke me free from that. And the past several years have been a journey of finding freedom
2:11.4	in Christ and freedom from those man-made traditions that I followed thinking it would gain me
2:17.0	favor with God. I'm realizing at the end of the day, that thinking it would gain me favor with God. I'm realizing
